Three Pigeons: Tactical Versatile Outdoor Backpack
“The ThreePigeons tactical gear takes its name from the biblical story of Noah’s Ark.
According to the accounts in the Bible, Noah released a total of three pigeons from the ark. After the flood receded and the ark came to rest on Mount Ararat, Noah first sent out a raven to see if there was any dry land. The raven flew back and forth but did not return to the ark. Then, Noah released a pigeon, but it came back to him because it couldn’t find a place to land.
After waiting for seven days, Noah released the pigeon again, and this time it returned with a fresh olive leaf, indicating that dry land had been found. Finally, Noah released the pigeon one more time, and it didn’t return, signaling the presence of land and the arrival of new hope.
The story of ThreePigeons begins here. Just as Noah sought confirmation and found new land through the pigeons, the new land of tactical gear is now embodied in ThreePigeons Tactical Gear.”
Introduction:
Howdy folks! Today we’re taking a look at the Three Pigeons Tactical Versatile Outdoor Backpack. This backpack is quite large, with its 40-liter capacity. It has plenty of pockets and compartments for all of your range day needs, and it could even serve you for an overnight camping scenario or bug-out bag.
There is a main buckle strap that covers the entire exposed face of the backpack, allowing you to cinch everything down once loaded up to secure the contents during travel. You can also adjust this to add a sleeping bag, tent, camera or shooting tripod, etc. on the underside or top as I have done to help lug around my recording gear.
Under that, the front side is mostly Velcro and doubles as an adaptable MOLLE panel, allowing you to customize your load-out for any scenario. Add additional pouches, gear, and accessories to meet your specific needs.
It is made with ultra-rugged 1000D Nylon, which is extremely tough and resistant to fading, abrasion, rot, and mildew. It is water resistant and dries quickly if it happens to get wet. Speaking of getting wet, it features a tiny pocket just behind the main handle that includes a rain cover to help keep your gear dry and protected from the elements.
The padded shoulder straps provide superior comfort during extended periods of use, and the back panel is ventilated to help keep you cool and provide support where it’s needed most. There are two buckle straps that go across your front side, one near your waste, and one higher on your chest. These allow nearly anybody of any size or stature to fit into and comfortably wear this backpack for their outdoor activities.
Among the various pockets you will find high quality zippers, many of which can be locked together to secure your valuable items during travel, or if you have to leave your backpack unsupervised for any period of time. Most of the sewing is only single stitched, which may be off putting to some, as it is obviously inferior to double stitched designs. That said, this seems very well put together and clearly went through some degree of quality control before reaching the end user.
The main feature of the backpack are the three (3) included pistol gun bags with divider and magazine pouches. They fit any standard full sized handgun on one side (think Glock 17/19 size), and have 4 magazine pouches on the other side of the bag, with room for some additional accoutrements on the perimeter. There is a padded divider to help protect your pistols from unwanted rubbing against those magazines or other contents.
