1791 Gunleather Holsters
INTRODUCTION & VIDEO REVIEW:
While I’m no expert on holsters or carrying a firearm, I have been carrying, everyday, for over 15 years now. For the first few years of that experience, I just used what was cheap and available at the time when I was younger and funds were tight(er). You’ve probably seen them, or perhaps even used them yourselves: the thin, crappy, foamy type from your local big box McMart store.
Does it work? Sure! Is it comfortable? Not at all! Since then, I have used several different leather and kydex holsters, trying to find the proper comfort and fit, all while maintaining some semblance of concealability – some with better luck than others. That all depends on the firearm you’re trying to carry, as well as what you’re wearing, of course.
Well, anyways, 1791 Gunleather was kind enough to reach out and asked if I was interested in giving some of their 100% American Made Handcrafted Holsters a try. I replied to their email with a list of what I might be carrying on any given day of the week, and they soon sent out a few samples for me to break in. Here are my findings:
Overall – I’m very impressed with both the quality and comfort of these holsters. The leather is soft and smooth, yet durable and feels as if they should last through many years of daily use. The stitching is top notch, as is the hardware. They even include instructions for proper break in and care, as well as taking care of your thumb break retention style holsters. The Lifetime Warranty is also a plus, should anything happen to your gear.
